Kelly T. “Tom” McCracken, III, #89
Kelly McCracken is currently Chief Trial Attorney for the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contract Management Western District, located in Los Angeles, California. He has occupied this position since April 1993. The District is the largest organization of its kind in the United States, and is responsible for contract management for the Department of Defense in the western states. The District manages more than 90,000 contracts, valued at more than $300 billion, for the U.S. Armed Forces, other Defense Department agencies, NASA, other government agencies, and foreign governments. He has served with the DLA since 1989. Prior to his appointment to his present position, he additionally held the DCWMD positions of Deputy District Counsel from July 1993 to June 1994 and Fraud Counsel from June 1989 to April 1994.
He previously served from 1980 to 1989 as an attorney, in a variety of capacities, with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, California. He worked with both the VA Office of General Council and Board of Veterans Appeals. He also served as a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Labor and Department of Treasury.
Mr. McCracken received his B.A. in Religious Studies/Philosophy from the University of Virginia in 1977, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and his J.D. in 1980 from Emory University School of Law. He is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the Federal Bar Association. He is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute. He is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and has appeared in numerous television shows, such as “Divorce Court” and “America’s Most Wanted”. He is single and resides in Santa Monica, California.
