Marilyn Buckner (Martin), Cheerleader
Marilyn was born in Washington, D.C. in 1955. The family moved to Woodbridge, Va. For several years and then to Alexandria, Va. when Marilyn started Elementary School. She attended Minnie Howard and Charles Barrett Elementary Schools, John Adams and Minnie Howard Middle Schools and T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Va. Marilyn was a Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleader for T.C. Willliams. She was also on the track team but her main focus was gymnastics. She graduated from T.C. Williams High School in 1973.
Marilyn attended James Madison University and studied Early Childhood Education. She taught school in Appomattox, Va. as well as Durham, N.C. She then switched careers to computers and moved to Richmond, Va. There she met and married Donald Martin. Marilyn is a stay at home Mom with her two wonderful children and they reside in Richmond, Va. Marilyn's other interests include photography and one day hopefully publishing a children's book.
